Souter Retains Preferred Supplier Status with Food Northwest

21 June 2011

Souter PR has retained its place on Food Northwest’s supplier framework.

As a preferred supplier the consultancy will be invited to tender for PR and Corporate Social Responsibility projects across the organisation until 2014.

Food Northwest was set up in April 2007 to boost growth of the food and drink sector in the North West – a priority area within the Regional Economic strategy.

In the last two years Souter PR has been involved in the writing and production of Blend magazine – the organisation’s 24-page flagship internal and external communications tool which was distributed across the region.

MD Sue Souter said: “It has been a great working relationship. Handling Blend introduced us to some fantastic characters in the food and drink business in the North West. It’s a vibrant, fast-moving sector. The magazine gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase these inspiring people – some very established, some brand new. So to be retained on the Food NW roster is great news and we look forward to getting involved in new projects.”

The move reflects 10 years of high quality food and drink PR from the South Manchester based agency - not least for Warburtons – but also more recently with Uncle Joe’s Mint Balls, marking its two billionth milestone.

The consultancy had to demonstrate a goodunderstanding of the work of Food Northwest and high levels of technical and professional expertise as well as ability to resource a demanding client relationship to make the framework.

Matt Fryer, Strategy and Investment Manager at Food Northwest, said: “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Sue Souter and her team”

Souter PR has developed its start up souterstudio offering after experience with new food and drink businesses via the Food NW contract.

Sue Souteragain: “It has inspired us to develop a service specifically aimed at entrepreneurial folk with bags of enthusiasm, great products and tight budgets!” she added.
