Souters get teeth into dental litigation brief
12 December 2011
Souter PR has been appointed as consultants to Dental Law Partnership (DLP), the UK’s leading dental litigation firm, based in Nantwich.
The award-winning consumer and corporate/b2b consultancy won the 12 month contract in a competitive pitch.
The campaign will focus on educating consumers on what to do in the face of poor dental treatment and giving people confidence to speak up with concerns.
The British dental sector is among the best in the world, and is highly regulated, but when things go wrong the campaign is designed to put DLP top of mind.
DLP’s Marketing Manager Fiona Ellis said that Souters came in with a sound strategy and creative energy which gave them the edge when tendering for the work.
“We were impressed with their grasp of the issues we face and the fresh look they gave us on how to position ourselves. They showed a good understanding of how to drive a media relations campaign and are already delivering good results.”
Sue Souter, MD, said that the brief was a challenging one. “DLP needs to balance the need to promote its services – giving injured parties the access to justice they deserve - without alienating the vast majority of British dental practitioners who are operating professionally.”
DLP Director, and former dentist, Chris Dean, agreed: “We employ a number of dentists to help us with expert input on cases and assessing whether indeed we take a case on for a client. DLP was set up to protect the good name of dentists by weeding out those who fail to reach the UK’s high standards. Consumers tend not know what to do if they have concerns over dental treatment and that is the job we’ve asked Sue and her team to help us take on.”
DLP is the latest legal brief for Souter PR, which also represents South Manchester firm Gorvins on a practice-wide campaign. The agency worked with Irwin Mitchell’s personal injury team for three years.
